It is sad that bread is also not safe to eat. But is that going to make any difference? Earlier, Maggi noodles were removed from the market for some months. Now they are freely available again. Similarly, many years back, the CSE found that most of the cold drinks contain pesticides. A parliamentary committee formed to check the report gave a clean chit to all the samples. After that, nobody has raised this issue of pesticides. Action must be taken to prevent such products from reaching the consumer. The judiciary should play act and the consumer not be left at the mercy of FSSAI, politicians and money-minded conglomerates.
