JAMMU: Organised by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), the first phase of annual inter-school school meet of Jammu district in seven indoor events got underway at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, here. “In all, seven events are being held in the first phase in all age groups of boys. It will be followed by the competition in girls section at the same venue,” informed District Officer, Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
The seven events selected for the first phase of the inter-school meet include Boxing, Kick-Boxing, Thang-Tha, Wushu, Sky Martial Art, Taekwondo and Silbam. Meanwhile, two of the seven events, Silbam and Thang-Tha shall be held at Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School, Patoli, here.
