Dy CM directs speeding up developmental activities

SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh on Tuesday said the government is committed to accelerate the development activities all across the State so that the people get the proper and requisite facilities.
The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with scores of deputations during his visit to the Gulzarpora area in the Pulwama District. He was accompanied by senior officers of the administration.
Dr. Singh said that the government will ensure the holistic development of all the three regions of the State by ensuring proper implementation of various development schemes so that the benefits percolate to the ground level. He said necessary instructions have already been passed to the executing agencies to speed up the pace of various developmental activities being undertaken by them.
Responding to the demands of the people of the area, the Deputy Chief Minister assured them that the issue of restoration of Pulwama-Gulzarpora road would be taken up with the concerned so that it is completed within the shortest possible time.
The Deputy Chief Minister also met the founder of the Seva Bharati, an NGO associated with the preaching of communal harmony and mutual brotherhood among different sections of the society. He appreciated the role played by the organization for spreading the message of peace, brotherhood and mutual coexistence. “The NGO needs special appreciation for spreading the message of peace which is very relevant in the present age,” he maintained.
