Middle rung officers of key departments retained in Srinagar
JAMMU: The State Government has ordered for the closure of Move offices on 31st October, 2014 at Srinagar and reopening of offices in Jammu on 10th November, 2014.
An order issued by GAD states, “The offices observing five days a week shall close at Srinagar on 31st October. 2014 (Friday) after the office hours and the offices observing six days a week shall close on the lst November 2014 (Saturday) after the office hours. All the offices shall reopen at Jammu on 10th November 2014 (Monday).”
All the departments will send their advance parties on 27th October-2014 consisting of one Gazetted Officer and four to five Non-Gazetted employees to receive the records at Jammu.
It has been further ordered that the officers of the level of Special Secretaries/Additional Secretaries of the Departments of PHE, I&FC, Public Works (R&B), Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation, Health & Medical Education and Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution Department will continue to remain at Srinagar and operate out of the New Secretariat building. The General Administration Department shall provide Secretarial assistance and Class-IV staff to these officers at Srinagar throughout the winter on the requisition of the concerned departments.
The Chief Secretary, Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Principal Secretary PDD, Commissioner/ Secretary, PHE, I&FC, Commissioner/Secretary, PWD(R&B), Commissioner/ Secretary, Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Commissioner/ Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Secretary, General Administration Department and Secretary, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department shall visit Kashmir every Thursday and spend at least two days in the valley to take stock of the relief and rehabilitation operations.
