KISHTWAR : Continuing its initiatives to facilitate the student community, Dulhasti Power Station of NHPC Limited, provided Note Books and ceiling fans to Govt. Upper Primary School, Mailan and notebooks to Govt. Upper Primary School, Sheikhpora (Trigam), Kishtwar under Corporate Social Responsibility-Sustainable Development Scheme.
The material was handed over during a simple function which was presided over by Arvind Bhat, General Manager, Dulhasti in the presence of Bipin Gupta, Chief Engineer (Civil), NHPC, S.K Parihar, Sr. Manager (Law), NHPC, Jaffar Hussain Ganai, Zonal President, PDP, Mohd. Abbas, Panch, Headmasters of both the schools, locals, students and teachers of the school.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhat said that NHPC earlier also has taken a number of initiatives in the Education Sector for providing better facilities to the students in remote areas of Kishtwar. He assured that similar initiatives shall continue to be taken in future also to facilitate the student community obtain better education. He advised the students to dedicate themselves in their studies for their bright future.
Hussain Ganai, Zonal President, PDP also addressed the gathering and thanked NHPC Limited for taking care of the remote area like Melan village.
