SRINAGAR: A two-day Science Exhibition cum Demonstration Programme titled ‘Science Gadget’ was inaugurated today at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh by Director School Education, Kashmir Showkat Ahmad Beigh.
Several Science models prepared by students of various educational institutions were on display including models like solar cooker, sewerage treatment plant, wind mill, structure of DNA etc.
The programme was organized by the Star Club Social Welfare Society in collaboration with National Council for Science and Technology Communication.
Beigh said that Education Minister is keen to give new direction to the overall educational scenario in the State and major reforms in the sector are underway to improve learning outcomes. He said students can benefit immensely through such exhibitions and demonstrations and these kinds of programmes should be organized frequently across the schools.
Earlier, Principal Government Higher Secondary School, Kohthibagh, Fatima Shaheen Tak highlighted the activities of the institute.
