R S PURA: Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, Dy. Inspector General of Police, Jammu Samba Kathua Range along with Ramesh Kotwal SP Hqrs. Jammu, Parshotam Sharma Dy. Director Prosecution RPHQ Jammu, Harjeet Singh SDPO R.S Pura visited R.S Pura and held a crime review meeting.
SHO R.S.Pura, SHO Arnia, SHO Miran Sahib, SHO Bishnah and all Investigating officers of Sub Division R. S.Pura were present in the meeting.
Investigations of various old pending cases as well as freshly registered cases were reviewed and necessary guidelines and directions were given on spot for quickly disposal of cases on merits, so that timely justice is delivered to the public on ground to the aggrieved persons. The issue of drug peddling was forcefully focused and necessary directions were given to Zonal SP/SDPO/All SHOs for taking preventive measures and directed to have a close monitoring over the identified drug peddlers in their respective jurisdiction, so as to reach the key players in this trade. They were directed to deal with the drug peddlers with iron hands in order to curb the menace of drug abuses.
