SRINAGAR: Acting tough against drug dealings, Police in Awantipora arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
As per reports, officers at a check point established near Lethpora crossing intercepted a person identified as Bilal Ahmad Wani, resident of Lethpora Awantipora. During checking, 30 Kg of grinded Cannabis was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot and shifted to Police Station Awantipora where he remained under custody. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.194/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
