JAMMU: Khour police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 7 grams of heroin (Chitta) like substance from his possession.
Police sources said that last late evening acting on the input of local CID CI officials, Khour police raised a naka at Prangla Khad and intercepted a person.
During search of the person, police recovered 7 grams of heroin like substance from his possession and he disclosed his identity as Manzoor Ahmed aged around 35 yrs, R/o Troti, Jourian, said police.
Police arrested him and seized the narcotics recovered from his possession.
In this connection, a case under FIR No. 94/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS registered in police station Khour and further investigation is on. (PTI)
