BHADARWAH: Police on Wednesday arrested a drug peddler along with large number of intoxicants from Bhadarwah.
On specific information, police team laid a Naka at Sartingal and intercepted a bus (JK02N-6814).
During checking, police recovered 500 Proxy one capsules,100 bottles of rexcof (Codine) and Corex 240 tablets of Alprazolam from a passenger. The drug peddler was arrested, who has been identified as Shamim Ahmed son of Abdul Latif Sheikh resident of Old Bus Stand Bhadarwah.
FIR 4/2014 section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Bhadarwah Police Station. Police team led by SHO Bhadarwah B.S Manhas and SDPO Bhadarwah DY SP Sajad under the supervision of of Addl SP Amity Bhasin had laid the naka. Earlier, two brothers of Shamim were arrested under NDPS act.
