SRINAGAR: One person was arrested in north Kashmir’s Baramulla District after more than 170 kg of drugs was seized from his possession, police said on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip off, police arrested Bilal Ahmad Dar from his residence in Nigli area of Sopore township in the district, police said.
Dar had been under constant police surveillance for the last few months.
Police found 173 Kg of fuki during a search at his house.
Dar was taken into custody and a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against him, they said, adding, further investigation is on.
