Drug peddler, 2 associates held with 10 gm heroin, two Tokas

JAMMU: Jammu Police special squad AVTAR on Sunday apprehended one drug peddler and his two associates with 10 gm of heroin and two sharp edged weapons (Tokas).
According to report, the special squad AVTAR constituted by Dr. Sunil Gupta IPS, SSP Jammu, today laid a Naka at Shastri Nagar near cremation ground.
During Naka checking, one Honda Accord Car (PB65D-1918) was signaled for checking but on seeing Naka party the driver of the car tried to run from the spot. He was chased and subsequently caught by the Police Party.
During questioning, he disclosed his name as Babbar Choudhary alias Babbar, son of Syed Ahmed, resident of Chak Mohd Yar, R. S Pura and on his personnel search 10 gm of heroin was recovered besides two sharp edged weapons (Tokas) which were recovered from his associates namely Vipan alias Sahab, son of Romesh Kumar, resident of H. No. 658 Nai Basti and Rohit Choudhary, son of Ram Pal Choudhary, resident of Raipur Satwari, Jammu.
The consignment was recovered by a team headed by SHO Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Dy.SP (P) Mir Imtiyaz Ahmed assisted by PSI Javed Iqbal Choudhary.
