Drizzle brings respite to farmers

SUNDERBANI : While slow drizzle over a time drizzling brought respite to the farmers in the entire non-irrigated area of district Rajouri, it proved a bad experience for the people visiting bus stand Sunderbani as they had to face the wrath of municipality’s apathy .
Sources said that the drizzle gave life to the wheat crop and the farmers of Kandi area who were disappointed due to continued dry spell for the last four months, were feeling cheerful now. This rain has not only freshened the plantation everywhere but has also settled the dust.
Coming to the bus stand Sunderbani due to the sub standard work done by municipality using poor quality bitumen, leaving undulations and pot holes during rolling the muddy water got collected which caused lot of inconvenience to the passengers .
PDP leader Kulwant Rai said that he had taken up the case of sub-standard work in bus stand Sunderbani with the SDM Sunderbani and District Development Commissioner Rajouri number of times but no action was taken in this direction. He added that it has become difficult for the aged persons, women and children to pass through main bus stand Sunderbani.
He appealed to the authorities to give due attention towards the civic works in the town.
