MENDHAR: The Mendhar Police on Thursday booked one driver of Tata Sumo for gross violation of traffic norms.
According to SDPO Mendhar Surinder Choudhary the driver of Tata Sumo identified as Mohd Latief son of Mohd Sadeeq resident of Ari, Mendhar was booked for overloading and endangering the life of passengers while coming from Harni to Mendhar.
He has been booked under FIR 44/15 under section 279/336 RPC in Police Station Mendhar and his Tata Sumo was seized.
The SDPO warned the other vehicle operators to avoid overloading failing which the police will be constrained to take stern action against defaulters.
