JAMMU: Dr Shakti Kumar Gupta Head of Department, Hospital Administration, AIIMS, Dr RP Centre who has been appointed as Honorary Consultant to Department of Health and Family Welfare Government of Tripura visited the North Eastern State on a two visit on 7th April in connection with setting up of Trauma and Burn Centre, up-gradation of Cancer Hospital, training of doctors, nurses and paramedics in Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres and Emergency Departments and other services. His visit was aimed at identifying the gaps in Tripura’s health sector and to suggest steps for fortifying it to next level that can cater to the needs of people there. He was accompanied by Dr Vijaydeep Sidharth Assistant Professor.
In this regard, Dr Shakti held a meeting with Chief Minister, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare Department, Directors of various departments and 20 officials from Health Department. He is likely to submit a comprehensive report by the end of this month.
