Dr Jitendra releases former Union Minister Alphons’ book ‘The Winning Formula’

NEW DELHI: Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh unveiled The Winning Formula: 52 Ways to Change Your Life, authored by KJ Alphons former IAS officer and former Union Minister, at the Indian International Centre here on Thursday.
The book, a motivational guide filled with anecdotes of grit and determination, was praised by the Minister for its relatable and practical approach to self-improvement and success.
In his keynote address, Dr. Jitendra celebrated former bureaucrat and former Union Minister K.J. Alphons’ unique ability to bring together stories of determination and grit.
He described the book as a guide that showcases the potential for success in anyone who dares to dream big and persevere.
“This is not just an autobiography; it’s a reservoir of inspiration. Alphons has dedicated 39 out of 52 anecdotes to others, making it truly a book for everyone to connect with and learn from,” said the Minister.
Dr. Jitendra reflected on Alphons’ life journey, highlighting his rise from humble beginnings in a large family of nine children, joined later by two adopted siblings, to becoming a celebrated bureaucrat, MP, and Union Minister. “Alphons has consistently defied odds, and this book captures his unwavering conviction to inspire and lead by example,” he remarked.
The Minister also highlighted key stories from the book, including Alphons’ groundbreaking role as the “Demolition Man” during his tenure in Delhi, his pioneering efforts in making Kottayam the first 100% literate district in India, and the uplifting accounts of unsung heroes such as doctors, artists, and young achievers who overcame tremendous odds.
“Alphons’ book is a treasure trove of pragmatic lessons-not just for civil servants, but also for corporate leaders, women, and senior citizens who aspire to live fulfilling lives. It’s a testament to the power of determination, the courage of conviction, and the spirit of giving back,” Dr. Jitendra emphasized.
Concluding his address, Dr. Singh expressed gratitude for being part of the event, acknowledging Alphons’ long-standing reputation for building bridges across political and bureaucratic circles. “Alphons has always been a man of action and integrity, a quality reflected in his ability to inspire and connect with people from all walks of life.
