DPS Leh students bring laurels to school

LEH: Delhi Public School (DPS) Leh students added another feather in
their caps by clinching a gold medal in the shot-put for boys and runners up trophies in the football events for
boys and girls.
The inter-school matches were organised by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports Leh in which private as well as government institutions of Leh participated.
The matches were played at Boys Higher Secondary School Leh from 4th June to 7th June 2016.
In the finals, Delhi Public School boys and girls gave a tough fight to their opponents but at last they were defeated by the host school and Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Khalste in the penalty kicks respectively.
Tsewang Stanzin of Delhi Public School got the gold-medal in the shot put.
The runner-up trophies to Boys and Girls football team were presented by Rakesh Badyal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Leh who was the Chief Guest in the presence of Abdul Rashid Officer Youth Services and Sports.
The Principal of the School Subhash Kumar Baldotra lauded the efforts of the students and their coaches Padma Thinless and Stanzin Khando for their relentless efforts.
Executive Member and Educational Advisor DPS Leh, T.P Singh also congratulated the students and coaches.
