JAMMU: The students of Delhi Public School Jammu brought laurels to the school by winning 18 medals including four gold, five silver and nine bronze medals in Eighth District Speedball Championship organised by J and K Speedball Association held on 28th May, 2016 in Jammu.
Around 500 students from different schools of Jammu region participated in the said championship. Students who won the medals in the open and sub junior categories include Harsh Choudhary VI-E (Gold), M Yadhavi Kapoor VIII-I (Gold), Mohd. Zalgam VI-E (Gold), Snigdha Jamwal VIII-J (Silver), Nasreen Fatima VIII-J (Silver), Aneem Chouhan VIII-J (Silver), Rehan Gupta V (Silver), Kriti Kapoor VIII-I (Silver), Adhiveer Sharma X (Bronze), Aryan Mehra VIII-K (Bronze), Vidhita Arora VI- E (Bronze), Pratha Gupta VIII-H (Bronze), Niyati Pandoh VIII-J (Bronze), Paneeni Gupta VIII-J (Bronze), Blossom Gupta VIII-H (Bronze), Divyansh Singh VIII-K (Bronze) and Shreyansh X -C (Bronze). The winners were felicitated in the special assembly organised in the school premises. Headmistress Meenu Gupta lauded the efforts of the players and wished them a bright future.
The Principal DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated the students, their coach Amit Kour and the proud parents for this achievement.
