JAMMU: Students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu participated in on the Spot Children Music Competition organised by the J and K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at KL Saigal Hall on August 6, 2017. Over 150 children from various schools participated in the competition and competed in Vocal (Classical / Folk) and Instrumental Music categories. Classical-Vocal: Sarvaan Gupta (IV-J) won third prize of Rs 750 in Infant group while Ridhima Bajpai (VI-E) bagged first prize of Rs. 1,050 and Saanvi Anand (V-A) got second prize of Rs. 850 Junior Group.Instrumental-Tabla: Sarthak Modi (VI-H) won first prize of Rs. 1,050 while Gourang Abrol (VII-D) got second prize of Rs. 825 in junior group and Divyan Sharma (VIII-I) bagged first prize of Rs. 1,500 in senior group.Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated all the winners and also lauded the efforts of Jai Paul Gill, Anil Baru and Daniel Sidhu, for training the students. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also extended her best wishes. President RCT, Ajatshatru Singh, Pro Vice Chairperson, Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi conveyed their wishes to the winners and their parents.
