DPS celebrates World Environment Day

UDHAMPUR: Delhi Public School (DPS), Udhampur carried out plantation drive on the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’.

The day’s proceedings began with the melodious song dedicated to mother earth sung by a student of class VIII. A beautiful dance item was presented by the school children highlighting the pain of our Mother Earth due to the dangers that are set to wreak havoc with the mankind, planet and its ecosystem.

‘Nukkad Natak’ was also presented by the students to spread awareness and also to make everyone feel responsible for safety of the Mother Earth.

The plantation was done by the Chairman of the School, Dr. J.C Gupta (LMC).

The Principal, Bindu Sharma underlined the importance of the environment and laid stress on fact that our children although quite young can make a difference.

“We should sensitize our children in such a way so that they can spread the same message further in the society and bring in the desired changes to safeguard our environment,” she said.

The Vice-Principal, Sucheta Gupta said the message is loud and clear, that each one of us must learn to shoulder the responsibility of revitalizing and returning beauty of badly pillaged and ravaged nature.
