JAMMU: Expressing deep concern over the unprecedented price rise of essential commodities especially vegetables, Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DF&SS) on Friday staged a demonstration against Government’s inability to contain the sky-rocketing inflation drastically affecting the kitchen of common man.
Addressing the gathering, President DF&SS Ashok Gupta said that black marketeers and hoarders are blatantly controlling the market putting the common man into deep distress. Price of onions, tomatoes, pulses, etc is touching skies as government agencies meant for regularsing the rates are either hibernating or in a state of deep slumber.
He also lambasted CAPD department for not doing enough to provide ration to people as scarcity of Atta, rice and sugar at PDS outlets is the talk of the town these days.
Demanding stern action against hoarders and black marketers, he suggested that farmers should be allowed to sell their produce directly in the market to bewilder the middlemen and control the rising prices.
Sukhdev, Pardeep, Kewel, Aashish, Bantu and Rakesh were also present.
