Doctor booked for forging signatures to register diagnostic centre

JAMMU: The Crime Branch Jammu on Friday filed a case against Dr. Vijay Koul and others for forged and fake rent deed to get registered an X-Ray and Diagnostic Centre at Canal Road Jammu in the office of Director Health Services, Jammu.
According to FIR, a complaint was lodged by Krishan Lal Baseen, son of Lt. Mangoo Ram Baseen, alleging that he is the owner of one shop and two rooms situated at HNo. 135, Lajpat Nagar, Canal Road, Jammu which were rented out to Dr Vijay Koul, son of Lt. Nath Ji Koul, resident of Anantnag at present A-1/2 Shivaji Apartment Sector 14, Rohini New Delhi and Ashok Raina, resident of Jagti.
Later, the relation between them turned hostile. However, Dr. Vijay Koul filed one forged and fake rent deed before the Director Health Services, Jammu and got his business registered under the name and style M/s Tawi X-Ray and Diagnostic Centre, despite no rent agreement executed by the complainant Krishan Lal Baseen.
It was further alleged that said Dr. Vijay Koul appended the signatures of the complainant Krishan Lal Baseen on the fake and forged rent deed and also got the same attested by Notary Public in his absence, as such, has committed fraud with the complainant in order to usurp his property.
On the receipt of this complaint, a preliminary verification was initiated in Crime Branch, Jammu and during the course of verification it was found that Dr. Vijay Koul had presented a copy of Rent Deed Agreement and an affidavit before the Director Health Services, Jammu in order to seek registration of his X-Ray and Diagnostic centre.
The signatures of the complainant in both the documents were got verified through FSL which substantiated that the signature were not that of the complainant, and therefore the accused Dr. Vijay Koul in connivance with some other persons had prepared a fake and fraudulent rent deed agreement by forging the signature of the complainant, intentionally and fraudulently in order to cheat him.
After preliminary verification, Crime Branch registered a case against Dr. Vijay Koul and others under section 420,465,467,468,471,120-B RPC and the investigations has been set in motion.
