BARAMULLA: A meeting of District level Screening Cum Co-ordination Committee (DLSCC) was held on Tuesday under the Chairmanship of District Magistrate (DM) Baramulla, Dr. G N Itoo.
The meeting cleared 50 cases out of a total of 57 cases taken up for resolution. Out of these 50 cases, 06 cases were cleared for ex-gratia relief and Rs. 1 lakh each was sanctioned among the beneficiary amounting to Rs 6 lakh, whereas 04 cases were cleared for cash compensation among which Rs 4 lakh each amounting Rs 16 lakh were sanctioned.
Moreover, 40 cases pertaining to property damage were also cleared and Rs 12.29 lakh were sanctioned among the affected. However, 07 cases were referred to the GAD for want of clarification and permission for re-examination.
While deciding the appointments, the eligibility including qualification of the applicants was also taken into account besides the reports from Police, CID and Army were thoroughly discussed and the necessary guidelines as per SRO-43 were also kept in view.
Meanwhile, Re-verification and dependent certificates in some cases were sought during the meeting.
Among others, District Information Officer, Mudasir Hussain Chuadary, Accounts Officers Showkat Ali Khan and various officers from Police, Army and CID attended the meeting.
