BHADARWAH: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bhadarwah on Thursday organised a day-long awareness programme to mark the Child Rights Day.
The programme was chaired by the Principal District & Sessions Judge who is also the Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Bhadrwah Ashok Kumar Shavan and was attended by Secretary DLSA ( Sub Judge) Susheel Singh; Munsiff Judge Sandeep Singh Sen; Mobile Magistrate Bhaderwah Munish Manhas; and Chairman Juvenile Justice Board Doda Rajiv Tadyal .
The speakers made valuable awareness about the rights of children and the ways to protect children.
The Principal Session Judge threw thorough light on the subject and elaborated various aspects of Child Rights and Protection. He also emphasised on the parents and teachers to teach moral ethics to the children and prepare them to face the different colours of life.
The chairman, DLSA asked children different questions so as to correct and encourage them to study and observe the need of Law and Justice. He also spoke about the ways and tactics of criminals involved in human trafficking, drugs transportation etc using the medium of innocent children. He advised the audience with the ways to avoid indulging in such criminal activities. He also extended full support to create mass awareness about Children’s legal rights and safety measures. Pamphlets, books and posters related to rights of children and women were also distributed among the participants.
