DLRC reviews performance of banks

KATHUA: DCC/DLRC meeting was convened at DC Office, Kathua to review the flow of credit, performance of banks in key areas relating to deposits, advances under priority sector, Govt. sponsored schemes, lending for the quarter ended Dec.2017.
The meeting was chaired by Rishpal Singh, ADC, Kathua and convened by. S.K Kandroo LDM. The prominent persons who attended the meeting were Vikram Dhanda (RBI), Madan Lal (NABARD), Sanjay Gupta (J&K Bank), Inderjeet Singh (SBI), S P Sharma (PNB), R D Sharma (JK Grameen Bank), Ramnik Singh (DUDA), Pankag Bhawani (Agri), Sandeep Singh (NRLM), Ajit Kumar Sharma (Hort.), Harvinder Singh (KVIB) and senior officers from banks, Govt departments and Reliance General Insurance.
The Chairman, Rishpal Singh, had a bare review of Annual Credit Plan, CD ratio, SC-ST-OBC / KVIB / KVIC / DIC / PMEGP / NULM, NRLM Handloom / Handicraft, with special emphasis on credit linkage of borrower under these schemes. He emphasised upon banks to expedite cases for linkage under various schemes and for achievement of allocated targets set for 2017-18. He advised all banks to focus on awareness programmes for dissemination of information to general public.
The chairman advised all banks to adopt multi level approach to make their outreach possible in far-flung areas for maximum coverage under social security schemes. Madan Lal assured full support from NABARD and discussed, SHGs, JLGs among other issues.
He also asked the bankers to link SHG/JLG on priority and achieve 100 per cent coverage under KCC. He also exhorted upon bankers to entertain applications from non-loanee farmers for coverage under PMFBY. S K Kandroo presented the achievements under Annual Action Plan for the year 2017-18.
