JAMMU: District Jammu and Udhampur excelled in the inter-district Divisional level competitions of Jammu, held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here on Saturday.
While Jammu district made it a double title win taking away under-14 and under-19 finals, district Udhampur bagged the under-17 final.
The Detailed Results:
UNDER-14: Jammu district beat Udhampur 2-0 to claim the title trophy. The Results: Yashdeep bt Aryan 21-14, 21-05. Doubles: Yashdeep and Vidhan bt Aryan and Jasmeet 21-05, 21-09.Semifinals: Jammu bt Kishtwar 2-0 and Udhampur bt Poonch 2-0.
UNDER-17: Udhampur beat Poonch in final. Semifinals: Udhampur bt Jammu 2-0. The Results: Naman bt Subhkirat. Doubles: Namana and Saiyam Sharma bt Subhkirt and Rahul. Poonch beat Kathua 2-0. Results: Amninder bt Kaavish. Doubles: Burhan and Amaninder bt Kaarish and Harish.
UNDER-19: Final: Jammu defeated Udhampur 2-1. Results: Singles: Raghav Dogra bt Harish Mahajan 21-14, 21-15. Doubles: Raghav and Savinay loses to Harish and Ritik 18-21, 21-16, 18-21. Reverse singles: Mohit Choudhary bt Adhiraj 19-21, 21-07, 21-18. Semifinals: Jammu bt Ramban 2-0 and Udhampur bt Poonch 2-0.
Badminton matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising Kiran Jyoti, Sanjay Khajuria, Vikram Jamwal, Tarunpal, Amit and Ravinder Singh.
