JAMMU: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Bar Association Jammu and Sumit Nayyar seeking various development activities around court complex including parking, new road, health center and security of the Advocates, Judges and Litigants, a Division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur observed that an affidavit by the Director (Coordination) Planning and Development Department has been filed, stating that an amount of Rs.1.09 crore is expected to be released by January, 2015 for the construction of lawyer’s chambers and the same shall be given to the service provider on its receipt.
The affidavit is taken on record and directed to file latest status of the receipt of funds be made available to the Court on next date of hearing and fixed 4th February, 2015 for consideration of the issue for release of funds and all other issues. JNF
