JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu on Monday convened a meeting to review the ongoing restoration works being carried out by the various line departments in Jammu Division.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer R&B, Chief Engineer PDD M&RE Jammu, Chief Engineer PDD Systems Operation, Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control, Chief Engineer PMGSY and other senior officers.
The chair was apprised that vital temporary restoration have been made in most of the areas and steps are afoot to carry out other restorations works.
The Divisional Commissioner took a detailed review of the ongoing works under SDRF by the PDD, PHE, R&B PMGSYand other line departments and directed the concerned officers to ensure that adequate steps are taken to complete restoration works with optimal utilization of funds.He also sought details regarding the utilisation of the funds and further requirements for carrying out permanent restorations.
Divisional Commissioners while reviewing the arrangements for smooth conduct of elections asked the concerned department to ensure adequate arrangements at the polling stations.
