RAJOURI: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu on Tuesday chaired a high level meeting of returning officers, Nodal Officers of Civil and Police department and officers of para military forces to review the election preparedness in district Rajouri which will go for polling in 5th phase on 20th of December 2014.
While chairing the meeting, Divisional Commissioner reviewed in detailed the election arrangements in the district which included security related issued transport plan communication, material management plan and laid stress on coordination among the civil administration, police and para military forces for ensuring free, fair and smooth election. He said that coordination among the election machinery will enable to tackle any sort of exigencies during poll process. He directed DEO to ensure de-induction of electronic voting machines will in time after polling as the counting is on 23rd of December 2014.
IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar also interacted with the officers and emphasized on increasing the deployment of police personals in hyper sensitive zone.
Earlier the district election officer Jitendra kumar singh gave a detailed account of activities and preparation in district Rajouri for the forthcoming Assembly elections.
The meeting was attended by DIG, Ashok Attri, SSP, Dr. Haseeb Mughal, ADDC, Veerji Hangloo ADC, Saleem Malik and other senior officers of civil and police administration.
