BARAMULLA: Sports Council and Nehru Yua Kendra Baramulla on Saturday organised a district level sports contest at Showket Ali Stadium Baramulla in which various teams comprising of different sports category including football, kabaddi, kho kho and other games participated.
The District Development Commissioner, Baramulla Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah was the Chief Guest while SSP Baramulla, Suhial Mir officers of civil and security were present on the event.
The DDC said that the youth should come forward and take maximum participation in the sports activities. He said that administration will provide every possible support and facilities to interested youth who want to participate in such events. He said the government is committed to provide better sports infrastructure to boost sports tempo in the state.
At the end of function prizes were distributed among the winner teams.
