KISHTWAR: District Kishtwar dominated the athletics events and football while district Ramban girls won kho-kho title in Range Level Police Sports festival organised by District Police Kishtwar under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Chowgan Ground, here.
Team Kishtwar won football trophy by defeating team Ramban while district Kishtwar athletes also won the races under all categories in which 100 mtrs race was won by Faizan Ashraf Mir, 200 mtrs by Tanveer Ahmed, 1500 mtrs by Sanjeet Kumar and 100 Mtrs (girls) by Supriya. Ramban girls outplayed Doda district in kho-kho final. About 80 players from Districts Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar participated in different events.
In the closing ceremony, Ghulam Nabi Balwan, District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar was Chief Guest who distributed trophies/medals besides sports kits among the winners.
Other dignitaries present were Col. Manish Gupta Dy. CO 09 Sector RR, Col. Hari Krishnan CO 17 RR, Deewan Chand District Sports Officer, District Officers/other Army officers and prominent citizens
