KATHUA : Alleging large scale favouritism on financial considerations in distribution of BJP tickets in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the Kathua Constituency, by the party Incharge J and K affairs Avinash Nanda, the people of Kathua held a strong protest at Muthi Jagir and burned the effigy of Khanna.
The protesters including Hari Datt Sharma, Promod Kumar, Vinod Singh, Kishore Chand, Lekh Raj, Mohinder Singh, Surjit Singh, Ram Parshad, Jiwan Lal, Krishan Lal and Pawan Singh said that the party high command has thrusted upon the voters an unknown and stranger who can never become a representative of this constituency. They pleaded that there are many leaders within the constituency who can feel the pulse of the people better and attend to their grievances besides carrying out development in the area.
The protesters said that in spite of being supporters of BJP they have now been forced to vote in favour of a local candidate, from any other party.
