BHADARWAH: For smooth functioning of the distribution of CAPD ration and to clear the confusion among the consumers, Sub Divisional Megistrate ( SDM) Thathri on Sunday started distribution of new ration cards at Thathri.
Under the new scheme ration cards will be distributed among 10,040 families under different categories in Thathri Sub Division of District Doda.
For some time, there was confusion and unrest brewing among the consumers over the scale of the ration to be distributed under different categories of National Food Security Act(NFSA).
“Govt adopted NFSA last year but there was a confusion among the consumers over different categories including Antodiya ,BPL and inclusion in Priority and Non- Priority categories,” said SDM Thathri Akhter Hussain Qazi.
“On the direction of CAPD Minister Choudhry Zulafkar Ali, today we started distribution of new ration cards. Hopefully we will be able to distribute nearly 10,000 ration cards in Thathri soon,which will clear all the confusion among the consumers,” SDM added.
The distribution of ration cards started in presence of Tehsildar Thathri, TSO Thathri and prominent citizens. In all, 10,040 ration cards will be distributed under 4 categories which include AAY-855,BPL-5990, NPHH-3071 and Exclusion-124.
