Director Estates reviews Durbar Move arrangements

JAMMU: Director Estates, Dr Ghulam Nabi Itoo on Sunday took a detailed first-hand review of the Durbar Move arrangements in the winter capital.
The Director Estates besides chairing a meeting to review the progress of various works, also visited the Civil Secretariat and Estates Colonies at Company Bagh, Panjtirthi, Ahata Amar Singh and Tange Wali Gali. He also took stock of the issue of vacation of government quarters, eviction proceedings and realization of revenue.
Dr Itoo also inspected and reviewed the progress of work at new government flats being constructed at Sarwal and Old BC Road for the Move employees.
Chairing a meeting regarding the Durbar Move arrangements at the Civil Secretariat here, the Director Estates issued instructions regarding general upkeep and sanitation issues to the concerned Departments.
The meeting was attended by Director Floriculture, Joint Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Deputy Director Estates Jammu, Deputy Director Fire and Emergency Services, Executive Engineer Estates Jammu and Executive Engineer PDD Jammu.
The Director Estates also inspected different works being taken up at VIP Bungalows. He stressed on completion of all the works well before the Durbar Move while maintaining the quality of work. He also directed to set up grievance redress cells in the offices of Deputy Director Estates Jammu and Executive Engineer Estates Jammu.
