JAMMU: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement under the leadership of Sunil Dimple held a protest on Wednesday in demand of dissolving present hung Assembly and for holding fresh Assembly elections for a stable government in the State.
Addressing the gathering, Jammu West Assembly Movement President Sunil Dimple appealed the Governor N.N Vohra for continuation of the Governor’s rule for six months and dissolve the hung Assembly and hold fresh elections in the State. Dimple also demanded the Governor to stop the salaries and other benefits of the former legislators as these legislators are unnecessary burden on the public exchequer. He demanded diversion of those funds for the development of the State and clearing the pending wages of daily wagers.
Dimple further said that without the Assembly elections, the local bodies elections will be of no use. He urged the Governor to first dissolve the Assembly and hold the fresh elections and then announce local bodies elections.
