JAMMU: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Chief Election Coordinator for Jammu Province, Abdul Hamid Choudhary on Friday said that roads in Chenab Valley had always remained neglected due to which several people lost their lives in fatal accidents. Still shocking was that no representative ever cared for getting these dilapidated roads developed for safe travel of people but merely rendered lip service.
Hamid Choudhary said that despite due representation in State legislative assembly and many amongst them having remained in council of ministers, entire Chenab Valley remained most neglected and underdeveloped. Hundreds of people died because of road accidents but never ever anyone cared to rectify the infrastructure to give people safe roads.
Urging People to vote for People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates and strengthen hands of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Choudhary Hamid said that this is the time when people of Chenab Valley can change their fate and put in place a credible government that can take good care of people and their issues. There is a need of developing road infrastructure, health care system, education and most importantly tourism sector in this region.
The PDP leader said roads of Doda, Bhaderwah, Jai Valley, Bala Khaleni, Kishtwar, Sinthan Top and Padder were all in most dilapidated conditions but the coalition government did nothing except being a mute spectator to the deteriorating situation of twin districts. A number of projects including some vital bridges were abandoned which is why people are still facing hardships.
Party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and chief Mehbooba Mufti, he said had special plans to develop district Doda and Kishtwar to the extent that they begin to blink on the tourism map of India. Choudhary Hamid asserted that these elections are vital and the power of ballot must be best utilised to overthrow corrupt and inefficient ones only to pave way for credible and transparent government if the State and especially district Doda and Kishtwar are to be developed in right earnest.
