POONCH: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Police , Ashok Kumar Attri on Thursday reviewed the situation of border and visited the forward areas in Saujiyan sector of Poonch.
During his visit DIG held meeting with senior officers of army and BSF and discussed the situation of border with them and assured them that police will always back army and BSF in maintaining a strong security grid.
Later DIG Attri met with the people residing in the forward villages of Saujiyan sector. People raised their problems and also demanded installation of a BSNL tower in the area, special recruitment drive, opening of dhoks while they also complained shortage of ration supply. After giving a patient hearing to their demands DIG assured them that all their issues will be taken up with concerned authorities for proper disposal.
On the other hand DIG also held interaction meetings with police jawans in Mandi area of Poonch and resolved many of their grievances on the spot
