DIG Jammu-Samba- Kathua Range pays surprise visit to Police Station Janipur

JAMMU: DIG Jammu-Samba- Kathua Range Dr. Sunil Gupta on Friday paid a surprise visit to Police Station Janipur. During his visit, he inspected the MHC room, malkhana, hawalat, barracks of jawans.
During the inspection, he stressed upon the SDPO, SHO and other staff to maintain the cleanliness of the Police Station and other surrounding area and to maintain extra vigil in their area of responsibility in view of forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He directed SDPO Bakshi Nagar DySP Syed Zaheer Abas Zafferi and SHO Janipur Inspector Sudesh Kumar for redressal of public grievances in a time bound manner and special focus be given towards female complainants and special attention be given to the NDPS Act, road accident and land dispute cases.
He also checked NCR register, Mahila Desk register, Cyber register, CCTV register, NDPS register, land dispute register, tyohar register and found most of the above record not maintained properly.
In view of this, MHC of Police Station Janipur is recommended for suspension. In this regard, Departmental Inquiry has been ordered against SHO Janipur Inspector Sudesh Kumar for his poor supervision. Moreover, a show cause notice was issued against SDPO Bakshi Nagar DySP Syed Zaheer Abas Zafferi. DIG Sunil Gupta also imparted necessary directions to officers and officials of Police Station Janipur for strengthening of beat system.
