DIG asks jawans to serve with dedication

RAMBAN: With an aim to take stock of problems being faced by the public of Gool Area in Ramban District, Deputy Inspector General of Police, DKR Range, Nisar Hussain, accompanied by SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar, Dy.SP Ops Gool Vipan Chandran held a public meeting at Dak Bunglow Gool.
A large number of prominent denizens of area, police officers and civil society members were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, the DIG stressed the need for police -public coordination and said that the department has adopted the Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) concept from foreign nations to maintain the links between public and police directly in the State. He stressed upon the jawans to serve with more dedication and missionary zeal so as to win the confidence of the common masses.
He also issued necessary guidelines and instructions to the police personnel in discharge of their duties.
The citizens of the area apprised DIG regarding early repair of Gool – Ramban Link Road especially at Main Bazaar Gool, shortage of medical staff at SDH Gool, developing of tourist spots at Tata Pani and Godagali and pending compensation for land acquisition case related with different projects in Gool area.
Speaking on the occasion, people of Ramban lauded the efforts of the DIG DKR Range for holding public meeting for addressing the problems of common masses and assured that Ramban people would leave no stone unturned to deal with crime and law and order problems.
He briefed the police officials to make all possible efforts in improving their quality of policing and be ready to face any situation. Others who spoke on the occasion includ Shamshad Shan, Altaf Lone, Saleem, Mohd Shafi Bhat, Javed Shan, Shahwaz Mirza and Gulzar Wani.
