JAMMU: To alleviate the human sufferings, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu, organised second diabetes awareness camp on the World Diabetes Day at Green Belt Park, Channi Himmat here on Friday.
Free blood sugar detection tests of morning walkers were conducted on the spot by a team of Red Cross Lab.
Technicians under the supervision of Dr. Kavita Nijhon, Medical Officer Red Cross Dispensary assisted by Surinder Vermani, Laboratory Technician, Sanjay Dhar, Senior Laboratory Technician, Monika Sharma, Senior Laboratory Technician and Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist. More than 80 tests were conducted and the public particularly morning walkers were educated about the disease.
The camp was organised under the supervision of its Honourary Secretary R.C Puri.
Navneet Kour and Sita Ram Sharma, Executive Members of Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu were also present.
