JAMMU: Dewan Badrinath (10+2) Vidya Mandir Amarvilla celebrated Teachers’ Day. Joint Secretary J and K Board of School Education, Vijay Lakshmi was the Chief Guest while Dr. Gautam Mengi presided over the function.
The function started with Hawan amidst chanting of Mantras.
Students presented the cultural programme in which tiny tots from primary wing sang a song in the praise of Guru.
Leela Sharma (Advisor), Rajendra Kakkar (Manager Trust) and Dr. Ramakant Dubey (Advisor) were also present in the function.
Suresh Sharma (Director Academics) welcomed the guests.
In his keynote address, Dr. Gautam highlighted the importance of the day and its relevance.
The other speakers also spoke about the role of teacher in making India a developed dream country of the world. The Chief Guest impressed upon the teachers faculty to serve the nation and the students in bringing them up as the great citizens of the country. The vote of thanks was presented by the Principal of DBN Amarvilla, Dr. Baljeet Singh.
The DBN branch Amarvilla also hosted a get together for the teachers from all sister institutions viz DBN Mubarak Mandi, DBN Amarvilla and SNS Vidya Mandir Camp Road.
