Devotees flock Sukrala Mata, Bala Sundri Shrines as Chaitra Navratri begins in Kathua

KATHUA: The commencement of the Chaitra Navratri Festival in Kathua district on Tuesday saw an overwhelming turnout of devotees at various revered Shrines and Temples amid fervent prayers and devotion.
Among the most visited Shrines during the festival are the Sukrala Mata Shrine in Billawar and the Mata Bala Sundri Shrine in Sundrikote, where devotees thronged in large numbers.
Devotees hailing from different parts of Jammu Kashmir and neighboring states converged to pay obeisance, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the Shrines. The pathways leading to the twin Shrines were adorned with vibrant floral decorations and illuminated with colorful lights, captivating the devotees with the divine aura of Navratri. Deputy Commissioner Kathua Dr. Rakesh Minhas, informed that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of the devotees during their pilgrimage. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to provide a pleasant and memorable experience to the devotees, with ample facilities and assistance available at the Shrines. Additional Deputy Commissioner Billawar Vinay Khosla informed that the Sukrala Mata Shrine witnessed the visitation of thousands of devotees on the very first day.
Similar arrangements have been made at other Shrines and Temples across the district, anticipating the usual influx of pilgrims during the Navratri festival.
