NAGROTA: Saying development will supersede politics in Nagrota, Provincial President National Conference Devender Singh Rana on Friday vowed to carry forward the chosen mission of transforming the constituency into Satellite Township as Nava Jammu.
“A beginning has been initiated years ago in my capacity as Member Legislative Council and the vision will translate in coming years”, Rana said while addressing election meetings at Sukethar, Nadore and Panjgrian.
He maintained: “Development will get renewed impetus in next six years across the constituency”.
National Conference candidate for the Nagrota constituency, Rana said the people will not compromise their yearning for development, which supersedes everything else. He said false sloganeering has jeopradised the interests of people in a big way and time had come now when ‘we all should join our hands and work for betterment of the posterity”. In this context, he referred to the concept of Nava Jammu, saying this will not only herald a new era of progress but open up avenues of economic resurgence in the entire constituency.
Rana lauded the resolution of Nagrota people for keeping development of their constituency over and above everything, knowing well what it means to have the area developed as per its potential. “You are the real stakeholders of development and the decision also lies in your hands”, he told the voters who kept chanting ‘Nava Jammu, Nava Jammu’.
Responding to peoples’ enthusiastic response, Rana said the vision has already become a buzz word among all those believing in expansion of the winter capital city as greater Jammu. He said the concept is fraught with economic emancipation of the people with youth having enormous opportunities to grow. “This potential has to be harnessed optimally to ensure prosperity of the area in a big way”, he maintained.

He said utility services have been accorded priority and effort is underway to meet the immediate requirements of the people. He hoped the people will continue in supporting these initiatives for the overall and inclusive development of the constituency.
