‘Develop infrastructure to make Chinta Valley tourist hub’
BHADARWAH: Residents of Chinta Valley of Bhadarwah have urged the Tourism Department and Bhadarwah Development Authority to build infrastructure like tourist huts and good roads in the Chinta Valley to woo tourists. Bestowed with picturesque pastureland and lush green forests, Chinta Valley, 22 km from Bhadarwah town, was formally opened for tourists by the State authorities on 2007.
Villagers said the tourist influx to the Valley would create job opportunities for unemployed youth in Chinta Valley. “The jobless youth, are looking forward for making income from tourism-related activities,” said Ankush Kumar, an unemployed graduate.
“The tourism authorities and Bhadarwah Development Authority should build the necessary infrastructure and develop the Valley as a tourist resort,” he added.
Residents of Trabhi and Chinchora villages, blessed with verdant forests , caves and old religious temples in Chinta Valley, also demanded that the tourism infrastructure should be streamlined in these villages.
