DEO Anantnag stresses for maximum electoral registration

ANANTNAG: To ensure maximum participation in the Assembly Election and create awareness among the people, district administration Anantnag on Monday organised awareness programmes at Government Boys Degree College and Government College for Women Anantnag in collaboration with college authorities under Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
Students, ANMs, ASHA workers and AWWs besides people in good numbers participated in awareness programmes.
During the programme awareness regarding voter turnout, electoral registration and maximum voter participation was given to the participants.
Addressing the gatherings, District Election Officer Anantnag apprised them that Indian constitution guarantees right to vote to all those having attained eighteen years of age and asked them to cast their valuable vote in their respective polling stations.
District Election Officer appealed the participants to disseminate this message to all.
Earlier Chief Education Officer Anantnag, who is Nodal Officer SVEEP apprised the participants about the importance of participation in electoral process and appealed them to cast their vote in coming Assembly Elections.
Voters expressed their great enthusiasm and assured to cast their vote in coming elections. Similar type of programmes were also organised by Chief Medical Officer Anantnag at various medical blocks in the district.
