Dental Technicians highlight demands, elect office bearers

JAMMU: In a meeting of all Dental Technicians of Jammu Division held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan President Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Dental Technicians from different health institutions of Jammu Division discussed various facets with leaders and pointed out some important issues which need immediate redressal.
All the dental technicians under one voice raised their issues and acquainted the leaders of JKMEF with problems they are facing on day to day basis and pressed hard for getting their solution. Further they assured the federation for giving their full support in achieving any set goal for the welfare of Dental Technicians. The major demands highlighted by them included Registration of Dental Technicians in Part- B, DPC of the cadre be conducted twice a year, creation of posts of Technical Officer in districts as well as at block level, Supervisor Dental Technician and Senior Dental Technician in every CHC, Head/Supervisor/Senior Dental Technicians in DHS/HERO and Medical Supply Corporation, risk allowance and amendment of SRO 20 dated: 20th February, 1992, which is still pending in Administration Department for more than 15 years. At the end of the meeting a general body election of the association was held under the supervision of Sushil Sudan. Santosh Kumar was unanimously nominated and elected as Provincial President of the Association. Sanjay Khajuria was elected as District President for Jammu District, Rakesh Saini and Surinder Sharma as Vice President, Subash Manhas as General Secretary, Rajesh Gupta as Cashier, Sat Pal as Joint Secretary, Suresh Manhas and Garuram as Advisors. Prominent among others who were present in the meeting were Ashwani Wadhera, Jangvir Singh, Sudhir Singh, Sanjeet Gupta, Sanjay Parihar, Prabhu Dayal, Manoj Kumar, Sohan Lal, Girdhari Lal and Ravi Kumar.
