JAMMU: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta on Thursday held a protest against the bank officials who were involved in the act of exchanging the currency on the commission basis which led to the mismanagement and shortage of currency.
“There has been non availability of ration since past four months and the non availability of currency notes has made the lives of people of Jammu a living nightmare,” Gupta said adding that there is an acute shortage of kerosene oil at the ration depots as well.
Gupta stated that an investigation should be made on this unlawful act of exchanging currency and the bank officials who are involved should be penalised under law. “The businessman or the big business houses who got their currency exchanged on the fraudulent basis should be bought under the hammer and should be also be nailed to the severest punishment,” he demanded.
