Delhi wrestler Mannu lifts 7th Battal Dangal title

KATRA: Wrestler Mannu of Chand Roop Akhara Delhi defeated wrestler Sukha of Rajasthan Bout in the main bout that lasted for 25 minutes and lifted title of Seventh Battal Dangal, organized by Battal Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association (JKISWA) at Battal in Tehsil Majalta and District Udhampur.
Baba Varinder Giri (Kakrai Wale) was the Chief Guest, who distributed cash prize among the wrestlers in the presence of President JKISWA, Shiv Kumar Sharma, SHO Ashiq Bhukari, President Battal Dangal Committee Dewan Chand Sharma, Gouri Singh and Parshotam Singh.
Winner of main bout wrestler Mannu was awarded with cash prize of Rs 12,000 while runner-up wrestler Sukha got Rs 9,000. In all, 50 bouts were played in the day long dangal.
Prominent persons present on the occasion Sarpanch Hans Raj, Sarpanch Rajesh Kumar Sharma (Raju) and Varinder Badyal.
Second main bout was won by wrestler Kapil of UP who defeated Naiz of Mallerkotla in Punjab. Kapil was awarded with cash prize of Rs 9,000 while Naiz got Rs 6,000. Third bout was won by Rajesh Sharma of J&K Police who defeated Dillar Khan of J&K Police and fourth bout was won by Bittu of Delhi who defeated Altaf of UP.
Members and technical officials who helped for this wrestling event included Dewan Chand Sharma (President), Sarpanch Om Parkash, Gouri Singh, Sham Singh, Capt. Shakti Singh, Parsotam Singh, Krishan Singh, Bishan Dass Sharma, Sandokhu Ram, Sub Prem Sing, Rajbir Singh, Sagar Singh, Kewal Singh Mankotia, Lochan Singh, Narinder Badyal, Sagar Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Yash Paul Singh, Kishori Lal Sharma, Ajay Singh (Kaka) and Sardari Lal.
Other Results: Sagar of Majaltha beat Arjun of Jindrah, Romesh of Udhampur defeated Mustaq of Samba, Jassa of Manwal trounced Amit of Delhi, Surinder of Satarani blanked Murad Ali of Mansar, Din of Kathua defeated Dheeraj of UP, Vijay of Bai Bajaltha outplayed
