RAJOURI: To educate the student community about the significance of girl education a debate competition was organised by the District Information Center Rajouri here at Kashmir National High Secondary School Darhal .
The patron of the institution Abdul Quyoom Mir was the Chief Guest and the Principal of the institution, Asif Mir presided over the function.
The staff and students of the institution were present on the occasion.
Around ten students participated in the debate competition and aired their views about the importance of girl education.
Malik Hafeez -ul-Haq was adjudged as first, while Mehboob Alam Mir and Kashif Manhas bagged second and third positions, respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Asif Mir said that the girl education has more significance owing to the versatile role she plays in the family. He thanked the Information Department for giving the school students an opportunity to express their views.
Later, consolation prizes from the Information Department were also distributed among the participants.
