JAMMU: The father of Aman Malhotra, whose body was found laying in a hotel at Katra on 13th September 2015, said on Monday that his son was “murdered” and he wants a CBI investigation into the case.
“I am not satisfied with the Jammu and Kashmir Police probe.
We are running from pillar to post for the last one year to get justice but all in vain,” a distraught Rattan Lal Malhotra told reporters here on Monday.
“I want a CBI probe in the case,” he said.
Aman, a law student (5th semester) of University of Jammu, was found died in a hotel in Katra on 13th September.
Malhotra alleged that his son’s body was lying in a hotel at Katra, while his friend namely Gourav who was his classmate in Jammu University was also present in the same room.
He further said that after he came to know about the incident, he shifted his son to a hospital in Katra where doctors declared him as brought dead. The cause of the death in a post mortem report was mentioned as cardiac arrest.
An alleged foul play seems to have occurred in the whole episode as post mortem report was handed over to the family after eight months of incident, he said.
“Aman had invited his friends to Katra where they all stayed at a guest house belonging to Aman Malhotra what happened there in the room is still a mystery to be resolved,” he said.
“I am still unable to understand what is happening. The police have not taken any satisfactory action in my son’s death case. It has been almost one year,” Rattan said. Family demanded a fresh investigation in the case so that the accused could be arrested at the earliest and justice be given to the victim.
